Reservations
Pedales de Lava can be done only with prior booking.
You can only make reservations through the Central Reservations of Pedales de Lava. It is not possible to deal directly with the establishments.
In the event you may show up at any of the establishments without your reservation, the organization Pedales de Lava will not be responsible for your situation.
In the case where there is no overnight stay booked, the reservation is lost, and you will need to pay the full amount of the establishment where you are staying.
Reservations will be made with a deposit of 30% of the budgeted amount. You need to pay the full amount at least 15 days before the starting date. If the reservation is made within the 15 days of the start of the trip Pedales de Lava, you need to pay the full amount.
If for any reason you must quit during the trip, it is possible to contact us to request that we pick you up and take you to the starting point.
Along the way we will be able to stay in hotels, apartments and aparthotels. This is depending on the customers’ preferences and availability of the participating establishments. All of them have a safe place to leave the bicycles.
Pedales de Lava takes care of everything. Not only do we provide you with the book route, we also can arrange the complete package which includes transfers to hotel from/to the airport, lodging, boat to Graciosa island, luggage transport between each accommodation, and everything else you may need ( rent a car, bike, etc …). All of it at hard to beat prices!
If you travel with your bicycle, you should save the box or bag for packaging, while completing the route.
Airlines are starting to charge per bike each way. In the spring of 2009 Spanair was charging €30 extra per flight. Air Europe was not charging, but their website does indicate that you have to pay for this service.
If you do not want to complicate your life and don’t want to bring your own bike, we can arrange for you to rent a bicycle of adequate quality for the route once you have arrived.. It is very important to book early to assure availability.
The package includes the book map, which you should have stamped at each control point, in order to get the exclusive jersey of Pedales de Lava at the end of the route. The package also includes a map, the road book holder and some gifts.
We recommend one or more days extra on your stay on the island so you can visit places that have not been able to see and enjoy more intensely the places you have enjoyed during the route.
Thanks to the climate of the Canary Islands, this is a perfect route to be done throughout the year. It is particularly recommended in the fall and winter, when the air is cleaner and the weather is more stable. Furthermore, outside the summer season, which is often windy, prices are usually cheaper and the availability of accommodation is more certain.
The confirmation of the booking implies acceptance of all previous points.
-PRICES:
In general, the prices are more expensive in July and August and at Easter and Christmas. The rest of the year is cheaper while prices fluctuate every month. This is why we do not put a fixed price. Therefore, for a DETAILED QUOTE, please complete the APPLICATION FORM at the end of this section.
-YOU SHOULD ARRIVE ONE DAY BEFORE YOU BEGIN AND WE RECOMMEND YOU LEAVE AT LEAST A DAY AFTERWARDS.
We can also organize activities “a la carte” during your entire stay in LANZAROTE.
Don’t doubt about staying on the island a few more days to really enjoy all that it has to offer.
You may want to rent a car when you arrive. This is highly recommended especially if you come with companions. We can arrange the car rental at prices that will be really hard to beat.
-There is the possibility of staying overnight during the whole route in the same hotel. We would be responsible for taking you to the starting point of each stage as well as picking you up at the finish point. This could be very convenient for those who come with companions who would prefer not to change hotels each day.
